SELECTING THE
RIGHT STUD
Select a stud that will
measure roughly 1/4" to 3/8" above the track lug. Measure the
lug from the base of the lug to the tip. Select the number of
studs required according to your riding style and horsepower of the
snowmobile you plan on installing them on. The chart below is
a good starting point, but you may want to adjust the number of
studs depending on your needs. the most basic stud pattern is
the 96 pattern. Studs should be installed evenly on the track
with 70% of them in the center belt of the track. they should
also be staggered so that you get multiple "scratch lines".

Our
Classic Stainless Push-Thru Studs provide a margin of safety and are
designed as an added safety device for your snowmobile track.
Unforeseen ice and smooth spots are a snowmobile safety hazard and
can be the cause of losing control of your snowmobile. Studs in
general are intended to compensate for these conditions. They can,
however, cause damage to paved surfaces and caution should be taken
while crossing paved trails and highways to reduce any damage
caused. Damage can also occur on the stud itself and reduces its
effectiveness. Please be cautious while crossing paved surfaces. DO
NOT spin the track. Proceed slowly. Warranty is void if failure is
due to misuse or abuse.
